Princeton Pro-Life provides students on campus with a pro-life community, education about the reality of abortion, volunteer opportunities, speaker events, transportation to the annual March for Life, and aims to serve as a resource for pregnant students, particularly those facing an unexpected pregnancy.
2024
In January 2024, we organized a trip to the March for Life. In February, we held an event to make care packages for ChoiceOne volunteers. In February we also moved forward with a partnership with YoungLives, a ministry which supports teenage mothers. Amy Freyberger ’17 runs a chapter at Jacob’s Well Church in North Brunswick. This chapter of YoungLives provides material and educational resources to 30 mothers monthly, while also providing an evening of childcare and a dinner for community building. Princeton Pro-Life members babysit at their meetings which occur on the second Friday of every month. We also hosted a speaker event with Dr. Kathi Aultman, a former abortion provider, to provide students with an opportunity to learn about what an abortion really looks like.
2023
In January 2023, we led our annual trip to the March for Life. We put on a panel in March on pro-life feminism to give a voice to women who oppose abortion. In October 2023, we hosted a Respect Life Sunday event to reflect on what it means to uphold a culture of life on campus and beyond. Later in October, we provided students with the opportunity to attend a conference at Yale to hear from pro-life speakers and connect with students from other universities. We put on a movie night for a documentary on abortion in America, and hosted a speaker event with the founder of the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising. We also held student-faculty reception at the end of the semester to build community amongst pro-life faculty, staff, and students at Princeton.
2022
In 2022, we were thrilled to bring a student group to Washington D.C. for the March for Life for the first time after the pandemic. We also gave students the opportunity to attend a fully-funded conference following the march featuring over 400 students and many pro-life speakers.
2021
During the pandemic, we reached out to ChoiceOne pregnancy center and discussed what kind of volunteering Princeton students might be able to do once the student body was reunited on campus. We also held a fundraiser for Let Them Live, which reached and exceeded our goal of $1000.
