Fall 2025 has been a spectacular semester for Princeton Pro-Life! We have seen a record level of student, staff, and faculty involvement. Our 12-student board (our biggest community of student-leaders yet) has led our 66 members in service projects, discussions, and off-campus activism. We continued our partnership with YoungLives, volunteering to babysit for teen mothers once a month at Jacob’s Well. Additionally, we participated in our local 40 Days for Life campaign, peacefully praying and offering resources outside of Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Franklin, New Jersey.
This fall, we worked to educate and to engage the wider campus community by hosting events geared toward Princeton students outside of our membership. We kicked off the semester with an ice-cream social, where returning members connected with interested students over delicious treats. We piloted our dinner discussion series, in which we hosted monthly student-led conversations on topics like choice and the philosophical debate over abortion. We encountered many students while tabling on McCosh Walk, with Princeton Pro-Life members handing out cupcakes and chatting about events and club resources. We continued our Pro-Life Coffee Chats, in which students could sign up for a coffee chat with a Princeton Pro-Life member to promote respectful dialogue and relationships across viewpoints.
In addition to advocating for life within the Princeton community, Princeton Pro-Life was blessed to join the broader New Jersey pro-life movement in Trenton this fall at the New Jersey March for Life. It was beautiful to march alongside so many young people who are passionate about the cause for life.
We launched two exciting initiatives this semester to foster student relationships with pro-life faculty and staff. Our “Femininity and Body Image Brunch” saw female professors, young mothers within the community, and female Princeton students meet over a lovely brunch to discuss pertinent topics related to motherhood and femininity. Additionally, we hosted our first “Dinner with Pro-Life Professors” at La Mezzaluna. We are so grateful to our pro-life professors for their support and mentorship of our students, and we hope to continue to nurture these relationships.
On Wednesday, December 3, students, faculty and staff gathered in Campus Club to celebrate a fruitful and full semester. We recognized our executive leaders, Marianne Cheely ’27, Abby Readlinger ’27, and Chase Todd ’27, who have served tirelessly for the past two semesters. We also welcomed our incoming executive leaders for the next two semesters: Morgan Gagnon ’28, Anya Marino ’28, Josh Hays ’29, and Tommy Hasty ’28. We look forward to our upcoming events in January, particularly the David Network Conference and the National March for Life.
Thank you so much to everyone who has participated in and supported Princeton Pro-Life this fall. We are so grateful for you all, and we look forward to continuing the fight for life within the Princeton community!
For Life,
Marianne Cheely ’27
